It is absolutely true that the Shamli boy has quit from Freedom 251. Let me tell you that Mohit Goel is the one that once made headlines about the offering of smartphone at just Rs. 251. He was the founder as well as the managing director of Ringing Bells. It is said that he has started another company, known as MDM Electronics. Even Dhaarna, director of Ringing Bells and wife of Mohit has also resigned.  Now, who will take care of the company Ringing Bells?

It is said that Mohit Goel’s brother, Anmol Goel will take the charge of Ringing Bells. The company itself confirmed this news. The company’s office, in sector 62 of Noida, has been shut for over two weeks since today.  The dealers associated with the company also, have no clue about the plans of Ringing Bells. There is no explanation given by either of Mohit or Dharna, for the purpose of leaving.

  • What About The 7 Crore People Who Registered For Freedom 251?

As the news of getting a smartphone for just Rs. 251 spread, approximately seven crore people registered for it. Among those 7 crore, around 30,000 people had already made advance payments. The company started facing pressure when there was lack of manufacturing facility. This was the reason for refunding the entire amount and tweaking of the plan to make it just a cash on delivery offer. Dealers have shut down their shops as they don’t know how to answer people who already gave money. They have not received any communication about further steps.

The dealers have already given money to the Ringing Bells, and now, they have no idea what is going to happen. They can’t even go to the police station, as the company has given the check that is dated as 31st December of the 2016. So now, even the entire company has gone missing, these dealers had no option but to wait, till 31st December. One of the dealers named Devdutta Malhotra has told that he owe Ringing Bells an amount of Rs. 16 lakhs.
