Big Bazaar Disperses Cash To Drive Footfalls

In such a time, where demonetization has prevented almost most of the people from eating outside, or maintaining their lifestyle, as they earlier used to, Big Bazaar has come up with an innovating idea in order to increase footfalls in their store. Let us look into details the various outcomes associated with this move of Big Bazaar in the following part:

People Are Referring Big Bazaar As Relief Bazaar

Big Bazaar has installed a cash counter in their outlets, and that too, in all of the 250 branches of Big Bazaar. Now, instead of standing in the long queues near the ATMs, people prefer to check out the cash counters at Big Bazaar. This move of Big Bazaar is considered as a very innovative move. It is also seen that there are several customers, who in spite of not being in the mood to shop, has bought several items from Big Bazaar, while walking in the store to withdraw cash from the cash counters. As soon as this news of Big Bazaar opening up small ATMs for the people spread, the people from New Delhi and Mumbai started accumulating over the various branches of Big Bazaar. In addition to hopes of getting cash, these people also had one more advantage. The cash counter in Big Bazaar also had a long queue of people waiting for the cash, but despite this long queue, the AC facility as well as the proper seating arrangement in Big Bazaar tempted people to wait even in the longer queues of Big Bazaar, rather than the ATMs.

Many Other Cash Counters Also Coming Up

Demonetization brought with it the drying up of cash and wary spending of money by various customers. This innovative move of the Future Group’s Big Bazaar, will be now carried up by other retailers as well, gearing up to join the queue. There is multiplex chain Inox Leisure, which has started the same facility by Friday itself. There are several others, such as Tata’s Star Bazaar as well as Shoppers Stop that will also the same facility from its store very soon. There are around 17 Inox properties that are providing this service of cash withdrawal from Friday, that is, November 25th. They even plan to roll out this facility to the other 89 properties owned by the Inox multiplexes by the end of this weekend. These entire cash withdrawal scheme implemented these various retailers have been applied in order to seek more customers, and till now has been a great success. It has also fuelled incremental sales, in addition to ease things a bit for the customers.

With a total of around 50000 transactions at the stores of Big Bazaar in one day, at a facility that has just been launched on this Thursday, this large number of customers visiting this store itself shows the success of this scheme. Hence, instead of lining up at the various ATMs, customers can go visit the nearest Big Bazaar store, or an Inox multiplex, or even a FBB hypermarket, and can swipe their debit ATM cards to enter the PIN and withdraw an amount upto Rs. 2000, in an air conditioned hall with a proper seating arrangement.
